Updates! Esmerelda and her (4) kittens

young Male/Female Brown tabby shorthair and gray tabby kittens

Available

Update: See foster home notes below each photo!
We wish Esmerelda could tell us her full story, but for us it begins with a kind citizen who found her and her kittens, brought them inside and reached out to FOP for assistance. She has been a wonderful mom, and all have been well socialized. The kittens have had initial vet exams and vaccinations, and Esmerelda will be spayed soon. Portraits by David Jensen Photography.

Available: Ruby (F) – see NEW update below!!
Now in trial adoption: Esmerelda, Jade (F), Mica (M)
Adopted! Pearl (F)

Foster home notes: Esme is kind of shy, and would thrive as an only cat. She takes a while to warm up to people and other pets, but she has only known the feral life until recently, so she requires patient humans. She’s tiny, and did a great job keeping her kittens fed and safe until they were found. She loves to curl up in the sun and sleep, and she’s an independent lady.

New update 11/4/25! Ruby is the last kitten left, but she’s not the least! She’s really coming out of her shell since her brother and sisters have left. She likes to be loved on her terms. She’s learning to ask for affection, but needs redirection to be gentle. She’ll come sit on your lap and purr for a bit,  but she doesn’t like to be held. She loves to sit at the top of the cat tree and watch the neighborhood, and sleep either in the sun high up, or hiding somewhere safe. She would love a home with a friendly cat or dog to play and snuggle with.

Jade is an independent girl, always sleeping separately from her brother and sisters. She’s the first to defend her siblings from a threat, the most reactive to dogs and other cats. But she does eventually warm up. She will pick a person and that’s her person. She’s very lovey, will sleep on your feet and is the first to steal food off your plate. She’s a pretty little purring girl, but don’t let her fool you. She’s ready to defend you and your honor from the first threat that comes along.

Mica is the biggest of his litter and he’s the first to purr. He was the first to be picked up and cuddled willingly. He loves food, and will push his sisters out of the way to be first, probably why he’s the biggest. Mica is very playful, and has a shadow named Ruby. His sister follows him everyone. Mica is a gentleman and is ready to have his own family.
