Information Center Volunteer

Here’s a great job you can do from home. Our volunteers relay messages and help callers with info and assistance. We train you and provide the tools you need to be part of our lifeline to the community.

Adoption Application Volunteer

Return calls to prospective adopters and help them complete adoption applications over the phone. This can be done from home, but a fax machine or email address is necessary.

Events

Event captains and event volunteers are responsible for setting up and breaking down the FOP booth at various events. Greet the public and provide information to assist pets and pet owners. Enjoy time with your fellow volunteers! Requires reliable transportation and the ability to lift boxes up to 40 lbs.

Education Volunteer

Visit schools and other sites to speak to young people about responsible pet ownership. Great opportunity for those with teaching experience or who enjoy working with kids.

Dog Walker and Cat Snuggler

Many of our rescued pets are in boarding care due to veterinary concerns or other circumstances. Until new homes are found for them, they need our attention with walks and playtime and hugs.
